Fanart Feature - Eloise by =ronaldhennessy
The 2nd in a series of fanart featuring my favorite characters from the world of Animation…and Literature. Here’s a look at the most famous resident of the Plaza Hotel Eloise!
Eloise originally starred in the children’s book “Eloise - A Book for Precocious Grown-ups”</i> in 1955. Written by actress/composer Kay Thompson and Illustrated by Hillary Knight. A story about the antics of a young child in the luxurious Plaza Hotel. She lives with her British Nanny and has two pets - a turtle that eats rasins and wears sneakers called “Skiperrdee” and a Pug Dog called “Weenie” that looks like a cat.
In addition to the books, two made-for-TV movies “Eloise at the Plaza”</i> and “Eloise at Christmastime”</i> were produced by Disney, starring Sofia Vassilieva as Eloise in 2003. An animated series “Me, Eloise”</i> was produced by Film Roman, featuring the voice talent of Mary Matilyn Mouser as Eloise.
